First things first, a shoutout to Bugoysters, Hansen Fever, Cris Crossers & Miguelistas! Everybody cheered for everybody. A fun, crazy crowd once again!

Special thanks to Morgan of Hansen Fever for the pictures.
To RAVE about.
.. LL Eyes jammed on stage with Liezel and sang “Torete”. It was her graduation gift. Watch out – Liezel on 2nd voice. (Video available below.)
.. I came to know that the “Remember the first day (the first day)” song is, in fact, entitled “Brown Eyes”. Loved it.
.. Cris performed Alone superbly and I have it recorded! W00t!
.. Bugoy rocked the house with his “Iris” stint. Rakista in the making. Fierce!
.. Praticipante Savannah Lamsen N’Synch-ed with Hansen & Bugoy. Hawt!
.. I never liked Enrique Iglesias’ “Hero” until Hansen sang it. It was really good.
To RANT about.
.. Miguel’s “Could You Be My Number 2″ was remarkable! My choice of the evening. Unfortunately, my first set of batts went dead. Care to share your video?
.. Liezel & Bugoy can’t seem to recall the lyrics for “Hanggang”. Oh well.
.. “All The Single Ladies” is not that fun without the Bibbo Ratsky moves. Haha.
.. I was too tired to take pictures. I have no decent shots from the gig.
.. It was raining. Hard.
Liezel’s song list. All The Single Ladies w/ Cris (Beyonce), One Hello (Randy Crawford), Bakit Ngayon Ka Lang w/ Bugoy (Freestyle), No One (Alicia Keys), Torete w/ Eyes (Moonstar 88), Hanggang Ngayon (Kyla) – request, Brown Eyes (Destiny’s Child) – request
Enjoy the video. ‘Til next gig!

Another enticing evening brought to us by Liezel, Bugoy, Cris and Hansen as they pumped up the crowd with their usual kicks! A pretty big audience for a Wednesday after-work breather.

Anyway, let’s cut right to the chase. Here’s Liezel’s song list.
- If I Were A Boy (Beyonce feat. Lee Carr) w/ Bugoy — “Hoo-we-hoo-we-he”-ala-R.Kelly spotted. Best version so far.
- Crazy For You (Madonna)
- Burn (Tina Arena)
- A Thousand Miles (Vanessa Carlton)
- Kailan (Smokey Mountain) — Preferred the Ratsky version, still good.
- Take A Bow (Rihanna) — audience request
- Dance With My Father (Luther Vandross) — audience request
- Torete (Moonstar 88) – Two thumbs up!
- Buses & Trains (Bachelor Train)
- Emotions (Destiny’s Child) w/ Bugoy — Bugoy’s second voice attempt was just awesome. Plus, Liezel’s money note. Another two thumbs up!
- No One (Alicia Keys)
- One Step At A Time (Jordin Sparks)
- No Air (Jordin Sparks feat. Chris Brown) w/ Bugoy
- Ever After (Bonnie Bailey) w/ Bugoy, Cris & Hansen
Highlights

Liezel’s “Torete” was my fave. Notice how she sings the word “Torete” — fierce! Haha. The making-it-her-own variation of the “wag kang mag-alala” part just before the third minute was lovely. Watch it below.

Bugoy sang Standards! W00t! Loved his “The Way You Look Tonight” and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You”, although I wish he’d sing the latter in a slow tempo (PDA Gala style). And he knows his classic – “Love Will Keep Us Alive”.
No wonder he grabbed “New Male Recording Artist of the Year (Most Promising Singer)” in the recently held 40th Box Office Entertainment Awards. Congrats Bugoy! Talk about deserving.
Cris, stunning in her cowgirl inspired outfit, rocked the stage with “You Oughta Know” and “What’s Up”. We also heard her belt out a few lines from the Heart classic, “Alone”. Amazing, as always. She’ll sing the entire song next week!

Hansen charmed the audience with his PDA audition piece, “Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin”, and a delightful version of Ryan Cabrera’s “True”. Both him and Cris also took on the Aguilera-Martin hit “Nobody Wants To Be Lonely”.

Pinoy Fear Factor big winner Jommy Teotico jammed on stage with “Ako’y Sayo, Ika’y Akin”. I’m no PFF aficionado, but this guy can definitely sing!
Thank you soooo much = 8 times.
You gotta be there next Wednesday! It’s their last Bagaberde gig.. for now.

This is gonna be quick.
Some highlights.

Liezel sang “Healing” for the first time. A rangy song with wonderful modulation. This you gotta see. My personal fave. Watch it after the jump.

Bugoy was, as always, enjoyable. He made Cris Brown proud, jiggling the crowd with “With You”. Other songs from him were “Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin”, “One Last Cry”, his 2 chart-toppers, to name a few.

Cris‘ Alone by Heart was probably the best of the night, atleast for me. These types of songs are her element. Her songlist include “Til They Take My Heart Away”, “These Dreams” and “Nosi Balasi”.
“Thank you sooo much.” = 7 times. Thanks Macon. Haha.

The first ever major concert from our Top Scholars was a jam-packed success. Liezel, Cris, Bugoy, Miguel, Poy, Bunny & Chivas graced the RATSKY stage, serenading the audience with their own style of classic and mainstream songs-from-the-heart. PBB champ Ruben also joined in the fun for comic relief. Cool crowd!
Here’s a rundown of Liezel’s performances.

All The Single Ladies by Beyonce
The dancing reminded me particularly of that “ispageti” craze. It was enjoyable to see 2 of Maxim’s To-Watch hotties, BFFs Liezel & Cris, strut their stuff on stage with this Beyonce chart-topper. Woh-oh-oh. Haha. Check out the crowd’s response, baby!
Kudos to Miguel for the awesome backup vocals! Bugoy, on the other hand, was impressive on Cris Brown’s Forever.

Kailan by Smokey Mountain
Liezel sings Bossa! A smooth, soothing, jazzy rendition of a classic song of the unnoticed romantic. This was the Shizznit! Definitely my favorite of the evening. Too bad it was cut short to make way for the duet. It hilariously turned into a Chippy commercial. Cute. Watch out: Lizzie on “whatever” mode.

If I Were A Boy by Beyonce feat. Lee Carr
Undeniably almost everyone’s favorite from Liezel (not mine, refer above). I’ve heard praises (not just from Liezel fans.. try the table next to us, and the table behind us, and the other, and the other). First part? Rough. But the reason why I loved this performance is that you’ll feel pure passion from both ends during the “it’s a little too late..” part. Heartfelt. Something we didn’t see much from Liezel during PDA. Talk about vast improvement. (Acting stint, maybe? Haha.)
